Hi there,
We are searching for 3 Senior Data Scientist for this, VC funded by Fly Ventures & LocalGlobe, Dutch Start-up.
The key part of the project that is directly used by data scientists, is the Open Model Hub.
This is the place where the team and the community develop and improve models that anyone runs on the Open Taxonomy of Analytics and can be used straight away.

It is key to their strategy to make sure this model hub contains high-quality models that suit many common analytics use cases.
Think of these models as lego blocks, they want DS teams to reuse, stack, interchange them in any way and continue to build advanced ML on top of it.
Right now, they have basic models for common analytics use-cases like retention, conversion, duration etc.
Their ambition goes much, much further.
So they are looking for someone that is very experienced in building generic models and has a strong opinion on how these should work and which should be usable for anyone.

They just soft launched the open-source project that goes after their mission. Right now they are collecting very valuable feedback from a group of experienced DS teams.

They use this to iterate on the short term roadmap and shortly will step-by-step move more into the public. You can spin up a local docker demo of the full pipeline in the quickstart.

The data collection & modeling library that puts the data scientist first. They are on a mission to unify the way data scientists collect & model data.

Every DS team in every company is defining how to collect, structure, clean and model data in a silo. While their modeling goals are so similar.
The team like to give data scientists what engineers already had for a long time; the ability to reuse, take off-shelf and contribute to modeling work of others.

Bringing the model of Gitlab to Data Science by enabling data specialists to share "off the shelf" data models in an open-source environment.

Functie omschrijving

IDEAL CANDIDATE
!PREFERABLY FEMALE!

• You have at least 5+ years of working experience in a data science role working with [[products analytics data]]!!!
• Experience in Computer Vision for instance, is not enough.
• You are experienced in Python, Pandas and SQL.
• You have hands-on experience building great machine learning models, and using libraries like Scikit-learn and others extensively. K-means clustering is something you do while half waking up for the first coffee or tea.
• Preferably tech start-ups.
• You have built many models for many analytics use-cases.
• You have a master’s degree in data science, software engineering, math, physics or something related.
• You have a can-do attitude. Even when the problem seems huge, you're able to chop it up and solve the chunks.
• This is a remote role in EU timezone with quarterly team offsites in The Netherlands.
• Candidates outside NL very welcome

Gross salary: €6.000 – €7.000

Extras

• Employee-stock-option-plan (ESOP): on top of their salary, 15% of the candidates yearly gross salary will be converted into shares in the ESOP.
• €1000 per year, work from home allowance to spend on anything.
• Trips to meet up with the team are obviously paid by the customer.
