EU Contract Management Team Lead

As the Team Lead for the EU contract management team, you will lead a team of 5 members and to ensure a good landing of procurement strategies in all plants within the EU region, and to service the region. You will also drive the change within contract management team, including culture and mindset change.

The location for this role is Geleen, The Netherlands. A hybrid work schedule is acceptable.
You will be part of a global and diverse team and report to the Global Procurement Director – Specialty Raw Materials & Packaging.

In this role you will:

• Facilitate development and implementation of the strategy for direct spend in the region.
• Lead and coach Contract Managers as people manager.
• Facilitate the integration of PTP (Purchase to Pay) process during organization merge period. Lead the implementation of unified PTP process from procurement side within the region.
• Drive Contract Manager’s implementation of contract management way of working and responsibility fulfillment such as supplier performance evaluation, complaint handling risk management, and project execution.
• Allocate contract manager resources in the region for relevant categories.
• Define and implement regional junior buying/operational buying opportunities after alignment with global category managers.
• Key account management for Region/Site management
• Represent Envalior in the region and be first point of contact of local plants and supply chain functions.
• Measure and track contract implementation the region and make proactive contact with global category managers and region/site.
• Management of the critical or regional supplier relationship in alignment with the global category managers
• Collaborate with cross-function team to ensure the smooth implementation of PTP process in the region. Drive for efficiency and improvement in PTP process

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, engineering or related fields with specialization in purchasing or chemistry/material science
• Substantial professional experience (>=5 yrs) in procurement or supply chain discipline, good knowledge of chemical/material industry dynamics/markets
• Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in people management roles.
• Exhibit a results-oriented and self-driven approach, coupled with a curiosity and openness to new challenges, along with a strong capacity for continuous learning.
• Display proficiency in various systems, including reporting tools such as SAP, SAP BW, and the MS Office Suite.
• Strong analytical skills that contribute to effective decision-making.
• Possess the ability to cope with diverse environments (different cultures, cross-functional etc.)
• Excel in communication, and negotiation skills, as well as relationship-building capabilities.
• Fluent in English, with additional proficiency in Dutch or German considered advantageous.
