EMEA Accountant

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management.
We are recruiting a EMEA Accountant to join the Global Account Team for a large global account, located in Amsterdam area. The Global Account Team bears the responsibility for the optimization of the financial and operational processes of the client. Meeting agreed KPI requirements, exceeding the client’s expectations and improving continuously are the critical success factors and will be used to measure performance.

The Finance Manager will be reporting to the EMEA Senior Finance Manager and will own the financial reporting and analysis for sites in the UK, Poland, Sweden and other European countries as they go live, with client revenues worth $30m (and growing).

Financial Management

Reporting

  • Run and review P&Ls Monthly and influence P&L result, WIP reports at least weekly and TWC; complete regular P&L reviews with Site Leaders/Facilities Managers.
  • Ad-hoc reporting as requested by Business Unit or Business/Finance.
  • Positively respond to both our internal and external customers (often in a matrix environment) through effective communication and personal accessibility/credibility.

Operational

  • Run open purchase order report weekly and review all open orders keeping aged POs to a minimum; run and review Debt report weekly ensuring issues are dealt with promptly ensuring CBRE receive payment in line with our contractual payment terms.
  • Support the local Contract Support Teams in the production of billing application, calculating margins, raising invoices, and submitting to client and to control the invoice pool.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of procedures and processes and deliver these to the required standard.

Control

  • Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to consistently throughout the Account and Contract Support Team.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records and financial systems, whilst identifying opportunities to enhance system efficiencies.
  • Ensure Balance Sheet account are appropriate substantiated and reconciled.
  • Support financial controllers with SOX compliance.
  • Comprehensive spend tracking.

Budgets and Forecasting

  • Support the financial planning and forecasting cycle.
  • Actively participate as part of the Finance and Contract Support Team; provide knowledge and understanding to coach and support others.

Other

  • Ability to build profile and trust with senior leadership.

What do you bring to CBRE?

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience
  • Working knowledge of accounting and ERP systems (such as Dynamics, SAP, Hyperion), Business Intelligence Systems (such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView), and intermediate knowledge of programming (such as Excel VBA and SQL)
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Organised and open to new ways of working to challenge inefficiencies.
  • Thorough understanding of business and customer-facing environments and the requirements of operating in a contract environment
  • Being part of a high-performing team with management skills to maximise the performance of staff working directly for them and others

What do we offer you?

  • Base gross annual salary between €45.000 - €60.000 (incl. 8,33% holiday allowance)
