KYC Analyst (Dutch speaker)

Accenture - via Consultancy.nl - Amsterdam - 09-04-2024 Naar vacature

Kind request to not apply for this role if you don't speak and understand Dutch fluently

The work

Banks are continuously being scrutinized for abuse of the financial system and providing services without deterring clients from using those products/services for criminal activities. Your role as KYC analyst is to conduct extensive research on the client and their transactions to identify any risks related to money laundering or Financing of terrorism and flag them.

People

You will be working at some of the largest international banks and supporting the Retail KYC process. You will be supporting client outreach and tailor the communication to increase response rate from clients.

Processes

The KYC files consist of triggered transactions that pose a risk. If a risk is identified, an event driven review must take place in which further ODD measure must be taken. Individuals will need to be able to complete a risk assessment based on all collected information and approved documents.

Research

You will be carrying out initial screening and background research on new clients, third party payors and vendors for the purposes of conducting anti-money laundering client due diligence checks. You refresh the background research held and updating the information packs for existing clients at appropriate intervals. You will have to investigate into the transaction and assess the event which might pose a risk for the bank. To do so, you need to be able to conduct desktop research as well as conduct client outreach to obtain documentation from the client.

Data

You will be searching public sources and subscription databases to prepare a pack of information on these parties, including information on an entity’s structure, beneficial ownership, control, public financial information, negative news, political exposure, and sanctions issues. From this data you will perform a risk assessment on the client profile to classify all red flags and high-risk indicators while ensuring all are effectively described.

With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders, and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.
