Job description

As the Global Key Account Manager, you manage specific global key customers (client accounts, OEM and System Integrators in the container (beverage and food cans) packages segment which is part of Intralox’s Global Industrial Business Unit. You are capable to manage major accounts on different levels and continents. You also are an important factor in the (further) development of the team, both individually and collectively.

 

Your key responsibilities:
  • Create, own and implement strategic account plans for, and in cooperation with, key customers in the industry
  • Help develop and grow the team to into higher level consultants
  • Continuously drive account and industry analysis and work closely together with the team to strengthen the value proposition
  • Identifying market developments and testing new products and services to be developed for the market
  • Reporting to management: Present forecasts & facts about customers and provide an accurate picture of the market so that an effective strategy can be built, and decisions be made
  • Structure creative business packages (technology and services) that tie Intralox’s best strengths and value propositions with solutions to the customers most critical needs
  • Initiate and implement improvement in line with the strategic direction
  • Push to drive business and actively contribute to developing sales strategies
  • Serve as the link of communication between key customers and the internal teams
  • Organize regular reviews (both internal and external) of account progress and redirect resources and strategy when necessary
  • Build and maintain high level relationships with senior executives and key decision makers at key customers
  • Attend industry events at a global scale 
Functie-eisen

Desired skills & knowledge

  • MSc, BSc or MA degree, A degree in engineering combined with business education is a plus
  • At least 7-10 years of sales experience in B2B sales as a key account manager in a (highly) technical environment, preferably within the packaging industry or the Factory Automation
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, well-structured and organized 
  • Proven track record in large account management, experience in project management is a plus
  • The ability and competence to further develop the team, as collective and individually
  • Self-managed, excellent communicator and team player capable of simplifying complex scenarios
  • Demonstrate strong commercial and analytical skills and you are an objective critical thinker
  • Experienced in calling on decision-makers at plant and corporate level
  • Possess a confident outlook along with an entrepreneurial, problem-solving mindset
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written). Other European languages are a plus
  • Willing to travel internationally (50%)

Location

You will be a member of the Intralox Container Leadership team and ideally be based in The Netherlands, working from a home office. In Amsterdam is the headquarter for the EMEA region.
