Job description

Join our team of 30 bioinformaticians within the Department of Human Genetics and contribute to the development and implementation of cutting-edge genetic analysis technologies for patient diagnostics.

Within the Department of Human Genetics, we implement and apply the latest genome analysis technologies for patient diagnostics including, exome and genome sequencing, long-read sequencing for many different genetic tests. In collaboration with the Laboratory of Tumor Genetics we have developed tests for cancer genetics such as targeted gene panels, whole exome and shallow whole genome sequencing of FFPE material and liquid biopsies. We are looking for a bioinformatician to support the further development as well as new development of tumor genetic tests.

You work within a large group of around 30 bioinformaticians embedded in the Department of Human Genetics responsible for the analysis of genetic data for patient diagnostics. Within that group, you will work within the team that is responsible for tumor genetic applications. Your work will consist of improving and implementing new features into existing analysis pipelines and developing analysis workflows for new technologies
