Function description
The data analyst is responsible for supporting the Managed Dealer Inventory (MDI) team in their daily work, by transforming data into insights. In addition the data analyst is responsible for optimizing demand forecasts for both suppliers and DAF dealers. By working closely together with the Inventory Planning team and Demand Planning team, data can be combined and create new insights for the complete Materials team. Those insights increase stock availability for our dealers and their customers.- Support management and the Materials team with data and analysis to create insights
- Promote continuous improvement of the Materials processes by data analysis and building tools (through Six Sigma tools and projects)
- Develop demand forecasts for both suppliers and dealers based on demand patterns and business trends
- Identify and address major forecasting issues or risks for discussion and resolution
Function Requirements
- Master degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Data Science or a related discipline
- 2-3 years of professional experience in Data Analytics, Demand Planning or a related field
- Outstanding analytical skills and good understanding of mathematical and statistical concepts
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access and BI tools.
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Pro-active attitude
- Fluent in English
