BIS Finance was established in 2018 with the primary objective of centralizing Finance IT and transitioning it within the IT organization, as part of the broader initiative known as ‘Finance Transformation’. Following the a recent merger of two organisations, the upcoming challenge lies in the integration of systems and the harmonization of data and business models to facilitate cohesive reporting as a unified entity. We are actively investing in data management and the optimization of models and processes as part of the Finance Transformation. To ensure the successful execution of this comprehensive transformation, we have developed a fresh target architecture for BIS Finance and outlined an efficient operational approach. This involves the creation of dedicated implementation teams. These teams comprise both business and IT members, encompassing a Domain Owner, Implementation Lead, Model developer(s), Data Engineer(s), Business Information Analyst(s) (BIAs), and Subject-Matter Expert(s) (SMEs) from Finance NL. Currently, for the implementation team focused on Pension, we are actively seeking a qualified Business Information Analyst.

Your key strengths include your adeptness at clear communication with both the business and IT sectors. Your strengths are that you are able to communicate clearly with business and IT, to challenge business on business requirements and to translate and refine business requirements into user stories. Close collaboration and alignment with IT team members is key, as you ensure that the right things are built and delivered by the team.

As business information analyst (BIA) you are a team player with a leading role as you form the bridge between the IT (system architect, model developers and data engineers) and the business (domain owner and SMEs).

Your responsibility
is to understand and translate business needs into user stories and to prioritize deliverables within the task list. In the initial stages of new epics and features, you actively participate in alignment sessions with the design office, domain owners from the Pension implementation team, and other business stakeholders. You also delve deeply into the existing target architecture, gaining a comprehensive understanding, and suggesting solutions that harmonize with the existing processes.

Next to your (agile) implementation team, you work closely with colleagues and teams from other departments, e.g. aligning chain dependencies. Finally, you are able to research and analyze problems and find solution based on data, and your mindset is set to always search for ways to improve and simplify.
