Function description

Purpose of the Job/Position

To deliver high class operational, logistical and administrative support to Smit Lamnalco (SL) vessels operations and ensure smooth integration between Exxon Marine team and SL Contract Manager.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities (to include but not limit to)

• Arrange swift and efficient vessel Inward/Outward clearance on arrival/departure to/from Guyana.
• Make all preparations/logistics for SL vessel port calls (reserve berth, arrange bunker, trucks/cranes, garbage disposal, fresh water and provision supply, etc.)
• Deal with Master complaints on provision supply, quality of food/services, etc.
• Keep records of victualling spend per vessel per month
• Arrange all formalities required for vessel’s crew change including hotel bookings, transportation, Visas, work permits, etc.
• Registration and control of vessel’s spares and consumables in the warehouse.
• Close communication with SL Contract Manager and Technical Superintendent (TSI) / assistance during the SL staff visits in Guyana.
• Close communication with Exxon Marine and other teams for the All vessel’s related issues – first point of contact with immediate report to SL Contract Manager.
• Preparation of reports (daily/weekly/monthly) as required by Exxon / SL
• Other operational duties if needed or requested by SL Contract manager.

Function Requirements

To be successful in this role you will have:

• An academic degree in one of the following directions: Logistics, Operations, Business administration, Management
• Proven work experience (3 - 5 years) in a similar role, preferably in the Maritime or Oil & Gas Industry.
• Relevant experience in: logistics, operations and administrational tasks.
• Energetic personality with a pro-active can-do mentality.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Fluent in English.
