About the role as Site Manager
In the role of Site manager you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of greenhouse construction projects. Your role will involve project planning, resource management, coordination of contractors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders. Your goal will be to ensure the successful completion of greenhouse construction projects on time and within budget.Reporting Line
The Site Manager reports direct to head of Project Management office and functionally to the Project Manager. The Site Manager provides functional leadership to the team on site.About Dalsem

- Develop detailed site project plans, including timelines, in collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Maintain site project schedules, monitor progress, and make adjustments to ensure on-time project delivery.
- Allocate and manage site project resources, including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors, to meet project milestones and deadlines.
- Monitor resource utilization and make adjustments as necessary.
- Oversee and coordinate the site work of contractors, subcontractors, and construction crews.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with site project specifications and safety regulations.
- Implement quality control processes to maintain construction quality and ensure that work meets industry standards and project requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and address any issues promptly.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on the construction site.
- Promote a culture of safety among all project personnel.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including construction plans, change orders, permits, and project reports.
- Prepares (if required) daily, weekly and monthly comprehensive reports according to Dalsem and project requirements.
- Representation of Dalsem to the customer and local authorities.
- Maintaining and enhancing the professional image and reputation of Dalsem at all times.
- Maintaining an intense customer relationship and a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in construction management, a focus on greenhouse construction or similar agricultural projects is nice to have.
- Knowledge of energy-efficient construction techniques for greenhouse projects.
- Familiarity with construction software and tools for project scheduling and management.
- Familiarity with greenhouse automation and environmental control systems.
- Knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and methods, especially related to greenhouse structures is nice to have.
- Experience with sustainable and environmentally friendly greenhouse practices is nice to have.
- Experience with sustainable and eco-friendly construction practices is nice to have.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Fluency in both Dutch and English is required.
- Understanding of safety regulations and compliance in the construction industry.
