Hey you there, with your commercial feelers. Are you thriving as a New Business Development manager? Or are you bored with your current club? In that case: at Valid we still have a captain's armband left. For someone like you who has stood his or her ground both in and outside the ICT field for many years. 

As a New Business Development Manager

One word is all you need to set the lines and determine tactics. One glance and there you go ... straight for the goal. You leave no chance unused and preferably create a few as well. Because that's how you are: you naturally think of your teammates as well. You drag and pull, hunt and work up a sweat until the final whistle. The reward: a resounding victory and an ice-cold glass with your team.

You know better than anyone how to translate Valid's goals, strategy and business plans into business development plans. You develop these plans together with the Sales Manager New Business. You get energy from the advice you give. Both to the internal team and to clients. You seize opportunities, analyze customer questions, think about the technical possibilities, draw up business cases and ensure that a suitable offer is put on the table.

As a New Business Development Manager, your character does not go unnoticed

You are regularly in the spotlight and a pleasant storyteller. You are well-spoken and have vision. With your powers of persuasion, you know how to win people over, both to you and to us. And that's not all. You are loyal and committed. Out of sight is certainly not out of mind. You cherish your relationships and always make sure you stay in the picture and in the mind. Only the great ones can do that. 

You don't become a captain overnight. It takes knowledge and experience. Both in a similar position and with complex Cloud and ICT issues. So ... when do you come to fit that band?

What we expect from you
  • HBO+ working and thinking level;
  • Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in New Business Development role with a Managed Service Provider with demonstrated sales results;
  • Experience in industry and/or business services sectors;
  • That you are an expert in performing activities related to establishing, maintaining and deepening/closing commercial contacts and contracts on behalf of accounts and prospects, in order to achieve pre-set conversion targets.
