Senior Infra Engineer
The core infrastructure team is responsible for advising, implementing, managing and optimising the technical infrastructure within Stater. The company-critical systems used by Stater and its customers run on this technical infrastructure. By way of indication, we are talking about more than 3500 virtual servers.
As a senior infrastructure engineer within this 7FTE team, you are one of our network specialists and after completing your induction, our network environment will no longer hold any secrets for you. Since the success of a network design is determined by its use, you are also competent in other parts for which Core Infrastructure is responsible.
An average day starts with a kick-off meeting, which briefly discusses who is going to do what on that day. After that, you mainly get started with project work. To keep in touch with the daily operations and to contribute to the continuous improvement thereof, you will also be performing operational activities on a regular basis. In project work this mainly involves the continuous improvement and renewal of our IT landscape, in which the public cloud also plays a role. As a senior employee, you are expected to be able to initiate projects yourself, think along about future projects, make functional and technical designs in a team and implement these together with your colleagues.
Day-to-day operational activities involve, for example, fine-tuning the monitoring process, solving incidents and handling tickets from our internal customers as 2nd or 3rd line service requests.
You will also be asked to work on-duty every now and then.
Het profiel
You are energetic and inspire your colleagues with your drive, interest and enthusiasm for the IT profession.You offer:
- Higher education or equivalent ability
- At least 4 years of experience with management and installation of on-premise network infrastructure (routing and switching)
- Experience in defining and managing network security measures, including firewall management
- Experience in the (remote) management of at least dozens of physical servers
- Hold a valid category B driving licence
You further have basic knowledge of the following:
- Backup & restore
- Storage systems
- Virtualisation with Hyper-V and VMWare
