Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences
(FHSE) brings together expertise from the humanities, linguistics, cognitive sciences, social and educational sciences. People from across 20 disciplines are working within the Faculty. Along with the

disciplinary
approach a very ambitious interdisciplinary research culture has been developed.

Your Role...

The Doctoral Candidate will be a member of the Department of Geography and Spatial Planning.

Information about the department:

The tasks include:
Prepare a doctoral thesis in economic geography
Assist the professor in his teaching activities, one to three hours per week
Contribute to tutoring Master students

What we expect from you…

Master in Economic Geography or a cognate discipline
Experience in qualitative research methods
Thorough understanding of contemporary concepts in economic geography
Particular interest in sustainability-related innovations and transitions (e.g. diverse economies, post-growth)
Fluent in at least two of the following languages: English, French or German
