We are looking for a Head of Corporate & Internal Communications to further build, strengthen and protect our corporate profile, the Loyens & Loeff brand and reputation.

 
Together, with a diverse and international team of professionals, you'll be working in a dynamic environment where people work hard and where the human dimension counts.

This function requires strategic thinking, pragmatism and flexibility. You need to have the ability and tenacity to both deliver and align messaging, policies and projects. You will be working on different assignments at the same time, switching quickly between them whilst keeping a good overview and prioritising your work accordingly.

 
 
Your responsibilities
 
developing and implementing the corporate communications policy;
 
advising the executive board and business services directors on communication approach in change processes, key firmwide topics such as D&I, CSR, Purpose and Employer Branding;

 
developing and leading on the implementation of communication strategies (internal and external);
 
as the firm's principal media contact, you coordinate all press queries and responses and act as spokesperson when required;
 
ensuring that our media policy is in effective operation across the firm;
 
setting up PR and media strategies and campaigns;
 
actively and effectively executing your role as member of the reputation & risk management team
 
leading a small professional team
 
management of external copy writers and creatives;
 
further development and/or implementation of communication channels for corporate and internal communication.
This role is for you because you have
 
excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in both English and Dutch;
 
highly developed advisory and stakeholder management skills and the ability to manage complex projects;
 
experience in leading a team;
 
a pragmatic, proactive attitude and ability to motivate, inspire and enthuse others;
 
experience with PR and communication during change and brand development; 
finished a relevant education at HBO/WO level; 
8 years of relevant work experience in the field of corporate and internal communications gained in professional services, preferably at an international law or accountancy firm.

About the role
The Corporate & Internal Communications team is a small, yet very visible and active team that sits within the BDMC community. The BDMC community also consists of 3 other teams: Business Development, Marketing and BDMC Operations (CRM) and you'll be working closely with the team Heads. The Heads together with the BDMC Director to whom you report, form the department’s (BDMC) Management Team.

You’ll also be working closely with the Executive Board, the HR and Legal, Risk & Compliance Teams and with BDMC colleagues at our offices abroad in what we call our Home Markets. Apart from the Netherlands, these are Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland. Loyens & Loeff is a hybrid workplace. For this role in particular, your presence, availability and visibility should be constant, either through being in one of our offices or available via Teams.
