We are looking for a Technical Superintendent for the mobilisation of 3 barges. European nationality, preferably Dutch living in the Netherlands Day shifts Monday till Friday. 12hrs/day. Depending on residence accommodation can be arranged.

Role description Position:

• Technical Superintendent for mobilisation of 3 barges.
• European nationality, preferably Dutch living in the Netherlands
• Day shifts Monday till Friday. 12hrs/day.
• Depending on residence accommodation can be arranged, during the week.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Guiding the layout (and choice) of the construction site from the grillages, RFQ/ITT process
• Supervising the construction itself (follow-up on planning, progress monitoring, Q inspections in collaboration with the Q inspector, identifying and resolving issues with the appropriate parties
• Preparing mobilization (i.e., installing grillages on pre-defined barges). This includes selecting locations, contracting parties, work methods, coordination with the project organization, etc.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Has a bachelor or University education and more than 6-8 years of relevant working experience.
• Complexity & responsibility: Manages medium-sized repair projects/largest equipment.
• Is capable to set up own project organization; procurement, logistics and technical support.
• Works independently. Advises on alternatives to improve methods, procedures and systems.
• Behavioural criteria: Has proved in several medium sized projects to be a natural authority over international teams + crew. Has overview; sees bigger picture of the project. Can operate in international, unpredictable environment, including third parties. Knows how and when to influence. And oversees cost effectiveness of decisions and impact on quality.
