We are looking for an experienced
Strategic Supply Chain Planner
for the department ’Dairy Supply Chain’ (DSC) in Amersfoort within the Operating Company ‘Plan & Deliver Strategic Planning. This Operation Company is part of de Business Group Food & Beverage, but it has an enterprise role working in very closely with the other Business Groups.

DSC ensures the valorization of all milk streams within FrieslandCampina to maximize the return to our member farmers. For this purpose, we develop decision support models and forecasting models. The DSC department is responsible for the planning of the milk streams from farmers to our factories and between our factories on an operational (bi-weekly, 13 weeks horizon), tactical (monthly, 18 months horizon), and strategic level (yearly, 10 years horizon). It aims to maximize the integral valorization of milk across the businesses of FrieslandCampina while ensuring 24/7 milk processing.

What we ask

In order to be successful in this position, we expect you to have the following qualifications:
3 - 8 Years of relevant quantitative experience in a consultancy firm or a comparable position;
Master degree, preferably Econometrics, Industrial engineering or another quantitative Master;
Good understanding of the refinery of all milk streams within FC;
Fluent Dutch and English;
Proactive & effective influencing with communication skills to engage in complex business decision making with Top 200 and Top 70 leaders within FC;
Experience in modelling or with a modelling theoretical background;
Highly analytical and good commercial/business acumen;
Analytical, self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset.

Vacancy description

We offer you a highly strategic and relevant position in a department with great expertise and a collegial atmosphere! If you have significant hands-on experience of planning processes, the role of Strategic Planner at FrieslandCampina could be just the career move you are looking for.

You are responsible for running and maintaining a strategic plan – called our Chess model - within our Dairy Supply Chain department in order to optimize the value of our milk. You will regularly interface with Corporate strategy and Corporate finance colleagues and have a high level of interaction with our Business Group, Operating Companies, S&OP hubs and Planning teams.

As well as preparing and executing strategic planning processes, we will look at you to create and maintain long-term planning models and take responsibility for their continuous improvement. In addition, you will work on a number of projects that will be key to ensuring optimal business decision making. Proactively supporting management by developing scenarios with clear implications and solutions in order to realise our strategy will be just as important.

Accurate and timely in your work, you are used to working with advanced planning information systems and proactive in initiating and realising improvements. What’s more, you have a flair for being able to take a birds eye view of a business and are happy both setting up and running improvement projects.

In short, it’s a role that involves working with a lot of colleagues around the company, seeing our total Supply Chain network is able to realise our Route 2020 strategy and to process our milk streams in the most effective way, whilst ensuring a component strategy is in place to optimise the valorization of our farmers milk.
