As a Technician High Voltage Laboratory, you are responsible for the realisation of electrical tests and trials of cables in the High Voltage Laboratory. You perform tests and trials for both obtaining new certifications and ensuring the continuation of certification processes. You are the internal knowledge carrier in the field of electrical testing and measurement technology. You take care of and supervise (external) audits and FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests). You are also jointly responsible for the management and maintenance of the installations in the high-voltage laboratory and at inspection and measurement locations.You are part of the Final Energy Inspection department, which works with great dedication, expertise and an eye for quality. You will report to the Operations Manager and have a strong content line with both the Quality Manager and the R&D Manager.
Part of your duties include:
- Preparing, performing (or having performed), evaluating and reporting on electrical tests in the High Voltage Laboratory in collaboration with the R&D department for maintaining or obtaining certifications;
- Preparing, performing (or having performed), evaluating and reporting (long duration) tests for the purpose of certifications (including WTR and 500hz);
- Preparing and communicating (test) reports for internal and external use;
- Supervising audits and FATs of external relations;
- Investigating and analysing (production) anomalies in cables;
- Performing internal audits at measurement sites, identifying shortcomings and advising on improvements;
- Carrying out work in accordance with applicable work instructions, guidelines and safety regulations. Oversee both own safety and that of internal and external added persons. Escalating and reporting unsafe situations.
