Healthcare education with additional language support

24 - 28 hours per week

What will you do?

As a trainee Helpende Plus, you will be trained to become a healthcare professional in 2 years. During the training, you will combine learning and working in healthcare with Dutch language lessons. Since you are new to healthcare, you will receive assistance in your personal development. In the first months, you will be paired up with a colleague. Throughout the training, you can ask all your questions to the student coach, who is there to help you. Additionally, you can seek assistance from the job coach associated with the training.

As a Helpende Plus, you will assist in performing Activities of Daily Living (ADL). You help residents and clients with washing and dressing, assist with eating, administer medications, and make the day enjoyable for them.

Where will you work?

We are an organization known as Samen. Elderly individuals can turn to us for home care, long-term care, rehabilitation & treatment, well-being services, and day activities.

You will attend school one day a week in Schagen and work at one of our locations. Your work schedule varies daytime, evenings, weekends, and night shifts. In addition to work and school, you will also do homework, taking approximately 10 to 12 extra hours per week.

• A learning/employment contract for a minimum of 24 hours per week;

Who are you?

• You want to work in healthcare with elderly individuals;
• You have at least language proficiency level B1 or higher;
• You have passed the integration exam or have proof that you are allowed to work in the Netherlands;
• You have a diploma (evaluation) at MBO level 1 or higher;
• You can work during the day, evening, weekend, and sometimes at night;
• You have a bicycle, scooter, or car to travel to work;
• You have access to a laptop.
