Technical Superintendent

Are you passionate about optimizing vessel management and participating in exciting offshore projects?

Join our client team as a Technical Superintendent, where you’ll oversee technical support for a diverse fleet vessels worldwide, including offshore supply vessels.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating all technical matters in accordance with company policies, maritime regulations, and industry standards.
• Organizing and implementing strategic plans to address technical challenges onboard vessels.
• Monitoring machinery and hull performance to achieve long-term cost savings.
• Collaborating with the Operations/Marine department to optimize vessel performance and meet commercial obligations.
• Conducting vessel inspections and preparing detailed reports on equipment condition and crew performance.
• Riding with vessels to troubleshoot technical issues and develop effective problem-solving procedures.
• Implementing preventive maintenance programs for hull, machinery, electrical systems, and deck equipment.
• Overseeing damage repairs while ensuring vessels maintain commercial viability.
• Monitoring and evaluating vessel technical performance to maintain company standards.
• Developing repair methodologies and selecting quality subcontractors for maintenance and repairs.
• Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and international legislation in vessel operations.
• Planning and supervising repairs, conversions, and dry-dockings.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Background in vessel maintenance with exposure to Chief Engineer responsibilities.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a developing company.
• Seagoing experience as a Chief Engineer with a degree from a Technical Institution.
• Preferably experienced with Offshore Supply Vessels (OSV).
• Theoretical and practical knowledge in maintenance and repair techniques.
• Strong communication skills in English.
