Embedded Software Engineer
Main Responsibilities
- Realize software implementation for advanced measurement systems on various different systems ranging from microcontrollers to high-end servers;
- Translate requirements to design on a software level;
- nteract with experts in other domains;
- Document design and provide user manuals;
- Deployment at customer sites if needed;
- Provide technical inputs on project proposals;
Requirements
- HBO or BSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics or similar discipline
- Excellent command of Python and C++ and associated tooling and frameworks (compilers, bindings, unit testing, version control such as Git, etc.)
- Experience with software development on Linux systems
- Decent understanding of (digital) electronics, in particular of working principles of sensors and AD/DA conversion
- Experience with ARM platforms and toolchains or other embedded processors, experience with FPGAs and/or CUDA is a plus
- Preferably experience with serial interfaces, such as CAN, SPI, I2C, etc.
- You have a strong analytical mind that enjoys coming up with novel solutions
- You are able to work with an autonomous and proactive attitude
- You are capable of self-study and quickly acquiring new knowledge/new skills across technical areas
