Applied Science School

The Applied Science bachelor’s degree study programme is part of the Applied Science school. Within the school, integrated education and research on the theme of Sustainability is developed, resulting in broadly deployable young or other professionals and technologies that continuously respond to current developments in the Brightlands region. This takes place among others through the ‘Sustainable Synthesis and Production’ research line. The approach to education is characterized by employees, students, and the professional field working in communities to ensure there is a focus on personal development. The professional practice on the Brightlands Chemelot Campus (and other relevant locations outside the campus) are used optimally and to the maximum as a context. Development and studies therefore occur together with and in professional practice. In addition to acquiring knowledge, skills, and competences, students are also helped to develop as individuals and are constantly encouraged to assume responsibility. The school is an active party in a network of staff, students, and the professional field that has relevant value our shared future and connects us.
