JOB PURPOSE

Your passion to bring taste gives our clients a head start. You have the ability to translate customer requirements and local taste preferences into successful taste solutions. From soup to sauce, meat to plant-based foods, you’re the best in experimenting and developing and will be able to make our customer products better.

You’re part of a cross functional team in which you are the technical face to the customer. Well structured, a good listener and always in search for the perfect taste. You enjoy short, formal lines, as well from your manager as from your colleagues. And when you understand the company better, you’ll visit our international clients in your region. The Team Leader TAS will report directly to the Global Product Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and support the growth of the local application team, leading by example, share the savoury application knowledge and instructions
• Design Savoury Taste solutions in line with the customer requirements and specification based on the technical brief from sales team.
• Gather all the necessary information on technical aspects of a Customer Brief which will lead to an effective and successful Application or Development project.
• Support sales in the realization of account plans through technical advice, trainings & presentations.
• Advice the customer on application of our Savory Taste Ingredient solutions.
• Demonstrate and test ingredients in the most effective way to our customer by combining your in-depth product application knowledge and Exter’s solutions.
• Support Marketing and Product Development in introduction of new innovative savory ingredients from customer requirements to the final solution.
• Work close with Sales, Product Management and Production to deliver solutions from project initiation, production and the first order.

KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENT

• You have a positive and pragmatic attitude and strong communicational skills
• You hold at least a degree in Food Science or Food Technology
• Minimum of 7 years international Business to Business experience and a proven record in development of savoury foods, meats and seasonings
• You are capable to evaluate the sensory properties of ingredients and customers products by using flavour/culinary language.
• Strong savoury raw material knowledge
• Talent to lead team
• Awareness of the commercial impact are as important as the technical skills
• Strong relationship builder, who operates at multiple levels with a multi-disciplinary team
• Capable to work with people from different levels in the organization and cultures
• Understanding of local taste and application of food ingredients
• You are able to translate customer requirements into solutions
• As for this role traveling is required, excellent communication, planning and organizational skills are a must.
• Fluent in English, Dutch work proficiency
