Account Manager - Based in BARCELONA (SPAIN)

Are you ready to refine your future as an Account Manager based in our Olenex office in Barcelona?
OLENEX is looking for an Account Manager based in Barcelona to create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers. The Account Manager’s role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned accounts, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities.

Within this role you will be working in a young, ambitious, and dynamic team. The team contains numerous nationalities, including experienced team members from whom you can learn a great deal. We are looking for a strong communicator who’s able to operate in a dynamic environment. It is expected that you will gain an understanding on a large range of different oils. It is essential to have an analytical way of thinking and will be expected to understand the market, identifying opportunities where we can optimize our products. By using this knowledge and using your communication skills it is expected that you can advise our clients of the best Olenex solution to fit their needs.

Some commercial experience is preferred, with the potential to grow into become a strong Account Manager within Olenex. With strong communication skills combined with a commercial mindset, we will assist you to fullfil your potential.

Responsibilities

Within this role you are the point of contact for all assigned customer account management issues. In doing this you are designated in finding the balance between optimizing capacity managing product split. You will align daily with both your team and customers.

Besides that, you will be responsible for:
  • Contributing to managing customer relationships throughout the complete cycle;
  • Negotiating contracts to maximize profits in collaboration with the Sales Team in Switzerland/Rotterdam;
  • Follows up on open contracts book, budgets and payments where applicable;
  • Make connections with key stakeholders;
  • Customer visits to establish a trustful business relationship;
  • Monitors new business opportunities;
  • Conducts respective market studies to enhance potential opportunities;
  • Clearly communicate the progress on initiatives to on a regular base;
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts);
  • Prepare reports on account status;
  • Work with the team to identify and grow opportunities.
For this position we are looking for an outgoing colleague with strong communication skills, somebody who’s solution-oriented and a relationship builder. Also, you have a:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (HBO);
  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or a relevant role, preferable within the food branch;
  • Speaking and writing Spanish and English is required, besides that is another European language an advantage, preferable Italian or French;
  • Proficient in MS Office software;
  • Proficient in ERP software;
  • Experience in a commercial function in the oil branch is an advantage;
