New for Christian Bovenhorst

Christian Bovenhorst is leaving Sunweb Group at the end of November. He will join Price-Free Vacations as Director of Commercial Excellence effective December 1.

Briefly, he talks about his career at Sunweb, which he describes as “a great Sunweb ride.
’17 Years ago, I walked into the Sunweb office on the Schouwburgplein in Rotterdam for my first day of work. I never thought that 17 years later I would leave the new Rotterdam office for the last time. Back then, Sunweb was still a small organization run by real entrepreneurs. Celestial leaders with a clear strategy and ambition.

Bovenhorst describes the years that followed as “incredibly turbulent, challenging and extremely educational and fun.
‘In 2006 I started as Manager of Retail, where I became responsible for the Marysol, TraXs and later Sudtours brands. After 5 years, I was given the opportunity to move to the role of Manager of Yield & Revenue, for several years also combined with Product Management and back to Revenue Management.’

According to Bovenhorst, Sunweb Group has made tremendous strides over the past 17 years and is now a respected international tour operator with growth ambitions.

‘The organization is highly professionalized and led by knowledgeable and ambitious colleagues. Certainly in recent years we have taken a big step in this professionalization. I would like to express my sincere thanks to my wonderful colleagues, both current and former. Together we not only formed the perfect team, but we laughed, learned, partied and celebrated successes. Their commitment, ambition and cooperation have made my time at Sunweb unforgettable.

Bovenhorst says he is looking forward to joining the Pricevrij Vakanties team in Den Bosch as Director of Commercial Excellence as of December 1.
