Business Consultant

IT Partner BV is a software supplier focusing on Port and Terminal logistics. Our headquarters are in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, near Rotterdam. We build and deliver high-impact software for Ports and Multicargo Terminals (Containers, RoRo and Breakbulk), a highly demanding and dynamic sector, that runs 24/7. Business Consultant

We are looking for a new Business Consultant to empower our team!

As a business consultant, you will experience plenty of autonomy and variety. Your job consists of three main activities:

New projects

At IT Partner, implementing our software at new customers and extending the modules at existing CENTER software users is an ongoing business. As a business consultant, you will be working on these projects. These will be both smaller projects which you run on your own (from a commercial offer to the implementation in the port/terminal operation), and more extensive projects like a Terminal Operating System go-live at a new customer, where you work with project management, developers and other consultants.

During a project, you will be involved in all aspects, from business analysis and design to the implementation at the customer’s port or terminal. You are able to involve the customer and to clearly translate their wishes into the right system solution and priorities.

Optimize CENTER solutions at existing customers

You will be serving one or two of our main customers as a lead consultant. You will be their go-to person for complex questions and requests. Together with the Operations and IT Application (management) team on the terminal you work on improvements in the field of business processes and automation. You are responsible for the functional design for change requests or new modules andact as an account manager, offering full support to the development of the customer’s business and processes.

Customer service

On predefined moments, you will be working together with your colleagues from Customer Service to provide customer support. These activities will consist of e.g., answering questions on the phone or online, training the customer’s users or testing new software developed by our development teams.

Responsibilities

Supporting and advising clients on issues related to IT Partner software and business processes
Running and/or working in projects, providing support and guidance for new developments
Documenting relevant actions/issues and planning (JIRA/Confluence/VSO)
Managing internal and external stakeholders regarding solutions and progress
Performing 1st and 2nd line support tasks for clients
Analyzing complex requests and turning them into a design

Requirements

• Intellectual and professional abilities: HBO or higher (higher vocational education)

Affinity with software
Affinity with business processes in port logistics 
Good communicative skills in (spoken and written) English (and preferably Dutch)
A hands-on mindset as a basis for future autonomy
Willing to travel abroad

• Experience with or knowledge of Windows Server, PowerBI and (SQL) databases is a plus
• Preferably experience with CENTER TOS or other Terminal Operating Systems
• Availability in 24/7 industry on request
