Music Teacher 6) for our Primary School

The new colleague will participate as a subject teacher in our Primary School, in a 0.6 FTE contract, being on average 3 days a week. You will partner with 1 other Music teacher. Our students are between 4 and 11 years old. They love music!

Education degree and professional experience

• Completed Bachelor and Master degree in teaching Music or a Primary School qualification with a specialisation in teaching Music.
• (International) Teaching Qualification / Certificate, like a Bachelor or Master in Education or QTS with induction, that qualifies for accreditation according to the Dutch educational system.
• Knowledge of the Orff Schulwerk approach and Kodaly. Importance of singing culture in music education.
• Collaboration, motivation to teach music through conceptual understandings, transdisciplinary.
• Some knowledge about the IB-PYP program is preferred.

Terms of Employment

You will get a temporary contract of employment under Dutch law: the initial contract is until August 1, 2025. After a positive appraisal and after your Dutch teaching certificate has been granted by DUO, you will be given a second temporary contract before we decide on a permanent contract.

This vacancy is part time, being 0.6 of a full time position, meaning teaching on 3 days on average per week. The salary is according to the collective labour agreement (CAO-PO), scale LB. This currently is between € 3301,- and € 5030,- gross per month, depending on experience.

To be able to work in the Netherlands, a (foreign) staff member must be able to successfully apply for:

✔ Residence and work permits for the Netherlands.
✔ A Dutch VOG (certificate of good conduct).
UWCM will assist in the application process for residence and work permits and VOG.
