Function

The procurement team in Rotterdam, led by the Procurement Manager EMEA and consisting of 4 tactical buyers and an operational buyer, is looking for an experienced tactical buyer in the industrial sector. Your main task is to issue tenders for planned and unplanned projects, with a spend of 70 million, of which 10 million is capex and 5 million is maintenance. You will have to start different tenders, such as for tank replacement or repair and for services, such as industrial cleaning, E&I services, scaffolding, waste disposal, and so on. You work with your manager to create a plan based on forecasts, but flexibility is required in the dynamics of a manufacturing environment. Other issues may take priority over the plan. Good contact with production managers is crucial to know where bottlenecks are and what to expect. Your manager supports you in many ways and offers you freedom, while expecting high quality work.

Profile

• HBO work/thinking level
• At least 5 years of purchasing experience
• Demonstrated experience working in a plant, refining or process environment
• Solution-oriented and a go-getter
• Proactive with a flexible mindset
• Command of the Dutch language is a must

Offer

• Salary up to € 85,000 depending on knowledge and experience
