Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator 24 hours

Prinses Maxima Centrum - 12-04-2024 Naar vacature

The Princess Máxima Center is committed to diversity and inclusion. That’s because these values have an impact on the mental well-being of employees, children, parents and survivors. And because we understand that a pro-active attitude in relation to inclusion - one in which everyone counts and has a voice - is essential.

With people of all cultures, backgrounds and views, we form one Princess Máxima Center. The Máxima strives for a work environment where everyone can be themselves. An environment where everyone fits in and feels at home, feels recognized and involved. So that we connect to the diversity of society and together create an environment where employees are allowed to be themselves and get all the space and appreciation they need to move the organization forward with their talent and in their own way. It is a condition for our success.

And then it’s about being varied in our experiences and backgrounds and allowing these differences, making the best possible use of everyone’s talents, perceptions and abilities. Our aim is to achieve reciprocity in the working relationship, in which the organization as a whole, management and employees all carry responsibility. We want to create a working environment in which there is room for optimal development, vitality and enjoyment in work, where we believe that when we want to achieve this the starting point is putting employees in a position in which they can participate. The organization will have to be there for its employees and help them to retain vitality and to stay healthy in an intense, demanding working environment.

Our healthcare providers generally have a background in the Netherlands, while the research department has great international appeal, with employees from many different countries. And, moreover, It is clear that we cannot perform pediatric oncological care and research in a small country like the Netherlands in isolation. Achieving the mission of the Máxima requires strong international collaboration -making progress together.

Supported by active, engaged staff and initiative-rich working groups – who collectively form the Coordination group Diversity and Inclusion – we are moving forward together to truly advance diversity and inclusion within the Máxima.
