The Role The Director is the figure head of EIT Digital in the Benelux and drives the development of the partnership and
the execution of the EIT Digital education and innovation activities in the Benelux. Contribution to the EIT
Digital delivery, impact and sustainability includes activity delivery and impact, financing of activities, return on
EIT Digital financial support, as well as income generation from activities local sources of income. The Director
manages the Benelux team, is a member of the EIT Digital Management Committee, and collaborates closely
with the EIT Digital C-level officers as well as with the EIT Digital Innovation Leaders and School Heads.
The Node Director reports to the CEO of EIT Digital.
Main Responsibilities

• Lead EIT Digital Benelux as an active, impactful, and recognised partnership of EIT Digital in the Benelux

delivering digital talent and innovations. This in close coordination with the Node Strategy Committee. Act
as the relationship manager to the EIT Digital Benelux partnership to ensure the engagement of partners.

• Work with the EIT Digital education and innovation leaders to guarantee delivery, operational excellence,

impact and financial revenues from the EIT Digital education and innovation activities.

• Deliver on the acquisition of partners, students, learners, and investors to join the EIT Digital ecosystem

and activities.

• Deliver on the EIT Digital Benelux financial, delivery, and impacts KPIs.
• Manage the EIT Digital Benelux team and daily operations.
• Contribute to EIT Digital sustainability through acquisition of national and regional financial support for the EIT Digital operations in the Benelux amongst others via liaison with regional and national innovation

programs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong managerial industrial experience (15+ years) in execution of digital innovation strategies with

industry, start-ups, scaleups, universities, and research institutes.

• Track record in acquisition of private and public national and/or regional innovation financing.
• Strong innovation and education network in the Benelux (Business, VCs, Incubators, Innovation Centres,

Universities)

• Strong international experience, especially in working with European multi-stake holder organizations.
• Academic education and background in STEM / Computer Science.
• Strong presentation and public appearance skills in English (verbal, written) and ability to convey simple

and effective value propositions and messages.

• Hands-on with entrepreneurial mind set.

KPIs

• Delivery from the Benelux partners and ecosystem to the EIT Digital education and innovation delivery,

impact and financial KPIs;

• Contribution to the EIT Digital sustainability including financing of education and innovation activities,

return on EIT Digital financial support, income generation from investors, regional and national public and
private sources;

• Measurable economic and societal impact of EIT Digital in the national ecosystem;
• Size, quality and diversity of the EIT Digital Benelux partnership.

Languages
Fluent in English and in Dutch, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Employment
This is a full-time position. The place of employment is the EIT Digital office in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
Regular travel across Europe is required for this position.
