Managing Director

As Managing Director at Votech, you are in charge of steering the business and overseeing the leadership team, including Sales & Marketing, Aftermarket Services, Business Development, HR, Finance, Operations and Engineering. Your responsibilities extend beyond effectively managing these departments; you are also tasked with motivating your team through interactive leadership and instilling the organization's core values into the fabric of the company culture.

What are you going to do?

You, as Managing Director foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration at the forefront to achieve Votech’s business goals. Effective communication at all levels within the organization and maintaining safety objectives are among your responsibilities. You will identify grow markets, building marketing and product management and connect with our customers by representing Votech externally. Additionally, you will address challenges such as existing cost structures and motivating the leadership team.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Stay informed about internal and external competition and collaborate with Duravant central functions
• Supervise the daily activities of the organization to meet business goals and forecasts
• Motivate and develop a high performance leadership team
• Collaborate with Duravant operating companies to accelerate growth and improve efficiency
• Actively contribute to product development, value engineering, and maintenance efforts
• Train, develop, and evaluate the team while ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations
• Execute hands on leadership

Profile

As Managing Director, you are responsible for leading the business and motivating the team to exceed the set goals. You possess excellent communication skills and effectively interact with diverse groups of employees and stakeholders, both in English and Dutch, with knowledge of German/French being a plus.

Job requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing/equipment or related industry
• At least 5 years in a leadership role (P&L)
• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, preferably a master’s degree
• Experience in full profit and loss management is advantageous
• Experience with turn key project organization and related growth challenges
• Leadership skills, including a high level of ethics and integrity, inspiring employees, innovating resource management, and challenging others to perform better
• Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch, preferably with knowledge of German and/or French
• Experience in understanding, communicating, and achieving improvements in process control, as well as advanced analytical skills and knowledge of ERP systems
• Excellent capabilities to commercially connect with the customer
• Physically capable of prolonged sitting and standing, and occasionally lifting heavy objects
• Work environment varies between production and office, with a moderate noise level
