Embedded Software Engineer

€3.000 - €6.000 p.m.
As an Embedded Software Designer, you will become part of a multidisciplinary project team within the company. These teams comprise experts from various technical backgrounds such as Software, Electrical, Mechanical, and Chemical Engineering. Your role in the team involves creating precise specifications and making effective and inventive design decisions related to embedded control software solutions.

You have an eye for quality and you understand that development speed is crucial. With your drive, strong interpersonal skills and your ambitious attitude you are continuously looking for opportunities to push our ‘state of the art’ software development techniques further. You combine creation of real-time solutions with a drive to improve the current way of working by (e.g.) using model-based development methodologies, simulation and virtual prototyping techniques, agile scrum and continuous integration/delivery. Your solutions are robust yet flexible, so that they can be deployed in multiple products and configurations.

Jouw werkzaamheden

• Translating requirements into a functional and technical design, rightly balancing functionalities, features, lead-time and cost;
• You ensure your design meets the project requirements, and your implementation fits the overall software architecture;
• You have an active outside looking attitude to translate external technology and tooling developments into value for our Embedded Software Departments.

Wat heb jij in huis?

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Software Technology;
• You have a strong affinity for embedded control an model based development;
• Experience with UML, C++ programming, familiar with OO-design, real-time behavior implications;
• Experience with state-of-the-art software design patterns or software test design is a plus;
• Working knowledge of Linux and software development environments (in particular Eclipse, RSA-RTE, GIT) and experience with software development processes is preferred;
• Excellent communication skills in English – verbal and written, profound knowledge of Dutch is a plus.

This company is a well known manufacturer. The client employs around 1900 people at it's facility in Venlo. The main activities are R&D, manufacturing and logistics of large format, sheetfed and cutsheet printing systems as well as supporting consumables and spare parts. A number of staff departments support these activities.
