The traineeship
The Calco IT traineeship is separated in a two month training period in Amsterdam and a two year assignment with a commercial company or public organization.
The first two months
The beginning of the traineeship is a two month training period in Amsterdam. During the first phase of the educational program you are enrolled in our IT Crash Course. You will delve into subjects such as project management, functional and technical design, programming and testing. Moreover, you will receive extensive soft skill training relating to public speaking, effective communication and group dynamics. The second phase of the educational program is all about our so-called Deep Dives. Based on your qualities, skills, and wishes, a specialisation course will be assigned to you related to subjects you have experienced during the Crash Course.Your assignment / mission
After two months, you have filled your backpack with a variety of IT skills and tools necessary to succeed in the business. We value making the right match between you and our partners. This match is predominantly based on who you are as a person instead of what your resume says. We believe that a sense of belonging and shared values are more important than a relationship solely based on academic knowledge.You will be placed at one of our partners, all leading companies within their fields, such as banking, insurance, FMCG, health care, industry, logistics and government. During this time, you will be able to continue to develop yourself on-the-job. Calco will connect you with a field manager who will coach you and offer help whenever necessary. Additionally, Calco will also provide unlimited courses so your development will not stop here.
For whom?
We are looking for enthusiastic proactive starters who have excellent communication skills and strive to learn. Additionally, our requirements are:
- You recently graduated from an academic university or a university of applied sciences;
- You are eager to start a new adventure, even if it means that you have to move to a new city;
- Proven affiliation with IT.
