Wat ga je doen?

NN Bank is on its way to becoming a Digital Retail Bank that can offer our customers relevant and personalized service. To realize our ambition, we need a data analytics platform that enables us to merge and analyze data flexibly and responsibly. This involves both batch data from our domain data lakes (Azure Data Lake Storage) and real-time data from our event-driven architecture (Confluent Kafka). As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and managing the data analytics platform. We have a Neo4j Graph database environment including graph analytics tooling (GraphAware Hume) that enables us to unlock the complete customer view. The platform runs on a combination of a Linux VM and Kubernetes within a subscription on Azure. As a DevOps Engineer, you are the expert in further developing, deploying, and anchoring these IT systems in the organization. If you have a passion for pioneering with these latest technologies and providing them in a robust and responsible way to the users of our data platform, then you are the person we are looking for.

• You are skilled in designing, building and testing of the data analytics platform, taking into account requirements from performance, management, compliance, and security
• You are actively seeking collaboration with both users of the data platform and parties providing the data
• You like to challenge yourself to continuously improve the data analytics platform and discussing this with fellow engineers and architects
• You engage with stakeholders to discuss their wishes and jointly arrive at the best solution, making a good balance between IT and Business requirements
• You aim to automate all boring and repetitive tasks to have more time for things that really matter
• You work with Epics, Features, and User Stories and prioritizing them with the team
• You have good ideas about how we can further develop our data analytics platform into a robust and modern stack

Wat je meebrengt

• At least HBO level of work or thinking. English-speaking, Dutch is a plus but not necessary. Passion for IT and Data, strong problem-solving ability and strong communication skills
• Experience with various Azure resources (including Azure Active Directory, Log Analytics Workspace, Azure Monitor, Virtual Machines, Disk Encryption, Azure Databases for PostgreSQL, and Logic Apps)
• Experience in automating deployment pipelines (CI/CD, Terraform, Azure DevOps)
• Experience with Azure CLI, Azure PowerShell, or similar tools
• Experience or willingness to gain experience in Linux/Bash, Helm Charts & Kubernetes, and Node.js
• Completed certifications such as AZ-900, AZ-204, AZ-400, or similar

At the Advanced Business Analytics (ABA) team, we believe that we can bring data closer to the business, and make all those data-driven business teams more fulfilled by the work that they do. The ABA team is a small (7 members) but fast-growing team that together designs, builds, makes available for the business, and uses the analytics environment (graph database platform and event-driven architecture) for developing exciting use cases. Because of the major role data plays in our business, there is a lot of contact with colleagues in various business roles. Your colleagues in Advanced Business Analytics have the following roles in the team: Graph Engineer, Data Lead, Streaming Data Engineer, Data Engineers, and Product Owner.
