Function
We are looking for a postdoctoral candidate to develop novel recombinant antibody-based reagents for use in immunoassays. This project is carried out in close collaboration with the division Reagents, which offers a range of reagents for immunoassays that are used for diagnostic purposes in various disease settings. This includes assays for evaluating antibody free light chain, human IgG subclasses, and therapeutic monoclonal antibodies. This project addresses several key challenges for the generation of reagents for these assays (standards, immunogens, specific polyclonal & monoclonal antibodies). The work will include design and optimization of recombinant antibodies and antibody-based molecules and analyzing their physico-chemical and immunochemical properties.Research group
The Immunoglobulin Research group is part of the Department of Immunopathology. We investigate structural and functional properties of antibodies with the aim of understanding their role in immunological processes as well as their therapeutic application. The department comprises 40-45 people (postdocs, PhD-students, undergraduate students and technicians) that all work on related research topics.Requested:
PhD in biomedical or biopharmaceutical sciences;Knowledge of antibodies;
Experience with immunoassays such as ELISA;
Experience with recombinant protein expression, and purification;
Experience with DNA/RNA manipulation techniques highly appreciated;
Interest in applied and translational science;
Good command of written and spoken English;
Ability to work independently as well as team player;
