We are currently looking for a
Group Controller (full-time)
to lead our international Finance team, based in our Amersfoort headquarters.
Main responsibilities
:
As Group Controller you are responsible for the financial processes and activities within the EWT Group, including accounting, controlling, treasury and risk management.
The finance function of EWT’s activities in North America and North Europe is managed out of our HQ in Amersfoort. The finance functions in South Europe and Asia are locally organised. The Group Controller manages a team that includes a Business and Project Controller, Financial Controller as well as finance managers and their teams in Amersfoort and in the regions The Group Controller reports to the CEO of EWT is part of the EWT Management Team and has a functional relationship to the audit committee.
The Group Controller is responsible for Group external and internal financial reporting, accounting and tax compliance as well as internal controls and management reporting.
In addition, the Group Controller pro-actively advises senior management on business development, M&A transactions, project and other risk management.
Your main focus will be on:
- Periodic forecasting and budgeting
- Monthly consolidation of approximately 15 legal entities
- Issuing and preparing monthly management accounts for shareholders, board and management, project reporting, controls and accounting
- Treasury and cash management
- Issuing and preparing financial statements (IFRS compliant)
- Tax compliance and transfer pricing
- Liaising with external auditors, accounting firms and tax advisors
Qualifications:
- MSc degree in accounting plus post-graduate degree (e.g., RA, CPA, CIMA, ACCA, or ACA)
- 8+ years’ post qualification experience in a senior accounting role, preferably with an industrial controlling background and international experience
- Strong financial, accounting and managerial skills
- Strong ability to implement and monitor internal controls
- Team manager and team player
- Preferably Dutch & English speaking, living close to the Amersfoort HQ
- Willing to travel occasionally
- Good communicator, planner and organizer
