Job description

We are looking for a postdoc bioinformatics who wants to work in a challenging environment, characterized by inter-disciplinary research and innovation, high dynamics, and a patient-oriented drive. Will you join our ambitious team?

Inherited metabolic disorders are severe diseases that often present in young children. Although limited, an increasing number of therapeutic strategies is coming available:

  • To monitor the effect of treatment, we develop omics-based biomarkers in patient blood cells and plasma.
  • To better judge the added value of such data for the patient, bioinformatics approaches are important for data interpretation.
You will perform research on data processing and analysis of mass spectrometry-based omics data coming from metabolomics and glycoproteomics measurements. This includes workflow implementation, chemometric analysis and generation of a prototype reference patient database. The work is performed together with laboratory specialists, laboratory technicians and a senior bio-informatician.
