The job
Our Engineering enablement department has a purpose to empower our teams worldwide, so they can deliver quality customer value faster and autonomously. We provide this by centralizing common technical capabilities to unleash the full potential of self-serving teams. The tools are built with and for our engineering community.As our new Engineering Enablement Specialist Architect, you'll be stepping into an architectural leadership role. You bring leadership in envisioning and designing products and platforms for our engineers. You contribute directly to building a state-of-the-art self-service eco-system of products and automation. A mission you won’t take on solo, but as a full-fledged member of the enablement team. Following Inner-Sourcing principles, you will work with users and maintainers throughout the whole organization to fit your ideas into the bigger picture. Accelerate our product teams, so they can deliver quality customer value faster and autonomously.
This is how you will reinvent food retail
(responsibilities)Design and maintain the engineering enablement platform strategy and architecture in cooperation with the architecture community (Enterprise Architects, Product Architects and Lead Engineers).
Setting-up and maintaining technology roadmaps for EEP.
You are an ambassador for our integration vision and strategy
Strengthening the integration teams by sharing your knowledge and skills
Ensuring privacy and security compliance by design.
Leading major engineering decisions as the knowledge leader on the latest technologies.
Interaction with the key business domains to ensure business/technology alignment.
Your ‘shopping list’
(requirements)University or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science or Artificial Intelligence.
8+ years of experience designing and implementing technology platforms and solutions.
Avid technologist, who cultivates innovation, acts as a thought-leader, able to concisely and articulately present to both technical and non-technical audiences.
A deep understanding of software engineering (technologies, architecture and engineering principles and culture), and a track record of hands-on developing and shipping software.
A deep understanding of modern API & integration practices and event driven architecture
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong to design, document, present, communicate and lead the implementation of scalable, secure, and resilient platform architectures.
Good exposure to Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Continuous Integration (CI) and automated deployment
Solution oriented and results driven.
