Job description

To strengthen our R&D team, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Process Engineer who has experience in Highly-Potent Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients processing.

The selected candidate will be working with a cross-functional team to start up and/or modify our R&D facilities for the manufacturing of highly potent drug products. By virtue of the candidate’s prior experience, the candidate will be viewed as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) on this topic.

What do you bring?

• Comparable to MSc in a relevant field like Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines with at least 7+ years of experience.
• Engineering principles and process chemistry understanding
• Knowledge of containment technologies and High-Potency API processing.
• Process development and scale-up methodologies, lean principles, and PAT.
• Highly proficient in process equipment and cleaning validation
• Productive communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate technical information both verbally and written in a concise manner.
• Ability to scientifically evaluate project, suggest appropriate options, solutions.
• Teamwork skills and ability to work across boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the department primary technical representation on a cross-functional team during evaluation phase of a project for highly potent materials.
• Provides technical input during the design, implementation, selection of equipment and qualification of a (new) production area for highly potent drug product manufacturing.
• In conjunction with the operating area, develops operating procedures, SOPs and required documentation.
• Mentors and coaches’ staff within the organization in high potent handling on an ongoing basis
• Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in order to efficiently solve problems using appropriate tools and prior knowledge.
• Perform troubleshooting on equipment and initiate corrective actions.
• Seek for continuous process improvement and optimization.
• Provide written and verbal update to the technical team and project manager on the project status and progress
