Where will you be working

The Quality Standards Centre of the Trimbos Institute develops, implements and researches instruments and methods that can improve care. The most important instruments are: evidence-based guidelines and other quality standards, patient information, decision aids, quick scans, feasibility analysis, bottleneck analysis, care pathways and training. Think, for example, of standards on anxiety and personality disorders or themes such as the use of experiential expertise. We work for various clients within the mental health care and social domain (including youth care). We focus on clients and their environment, social workers, policy makers and financiers. The centre operates from the Care and Participation programme and fulfils a pivotal role in the Trimbos Institute in the field of care standards and guideline development.

What are your duties

Around literature review:
  • Search and selection of international scientific articles based on a review protocol for the development of quality standards;
  • assessing the risk of bias (RoB) of these scientific studies;
  • Collaborating on meta-analyses and applying the GRADE method to assess the degree of confidence in the results found for each outcome measure;
  • summarising the scientific evidence for each basic question in the quality standard;
  • collect the results of scientific evidence, client preferences and professional preferences in an orderly fashion so that they can be translated into guideline recommendations;
  • Collaboratively or independently drafting review protocols for literature searches;
  • To contribute to the preparation of project proposals, budgets and/or grant applications in the context of acquisition projects;

  • The team in which you work focuses not only on quality standards, but also on projects concerning the care and participation of people with (severe) mental illness.

What you bring

  • A completed academic degree in psychology, social sciences, health sciences, or similar program;
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience;
  • Knowledge and experience in the field of literature research and/or epidemiology is an advantage;
  • Knowledge and/or affinity in the field of mental health (care);
  • Experience with project-based work is an advantage;
  • a proactive and independent attitude to work;
  • excellent interpersonal skills, in which working with others and maintaining a network are important;
  • excellent knowledge of the Dutch and English languages, both verbally and in writing

The appointment is initially for one year, with the possibility of extension.
