Technical Migration Engineers are at the heart of our company. They make sure every client’s migration journey becomes a smooth ride. Whether it’s performing mission critical data extractions from legacy server environments or transforming complete data lakes between systems: our engineers take out the headache because they are ready to deal with every challenge.

In this pivotal multi-functional client facing position, you will get an amazing opportunity to not only play a guiding role in successfully completing a wide array of system-to-system data migration journeys, but also to work closely with senior leaders in data science, software engineering, and business analysis on fast paced, high-stakes problems.

You will become part of an autonomous operating engineering team and craft the direction of Xillio’s data migration experience by engineering and executing next-gen content migrations, using our in-house developed software.

What you will do

• Analyze the data and information management landscapes of our customers.
• Explain to the customers the benefits and capabilities of the Xillio content migration approach.
• Capture requirements for migration projects.
• Guide and advice the client on a migration project.
• Build the requirements in our platform and work on information structure design
• Code information transformations and data flows.
• Take charge of the installation and implementation of the migration software, as well as the migration process.
• Execute migrations, generate reports and analyze the content.
• Continuously learn how to connect and interact with new types of repositories.

What makes you greater

If you tick the bigger part of the following boxes, then we are definitely looking for you!

• Experience in an IT consulting or engineering role, preferably in CCM, ECM, or ETL domains.
• Worked with one or more content management solutions (e.g., SharePoint, Alfresco, Documentum, Quadient, Thunderhead, OpenText, Exstream, FileNet).
• Demonstrated knowledge of (and a passion for) scripting, ideally with JavaScript or NodeJS.
• A profound interest in NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Elastic Search.
• Eager to learn different technologies and database technologies, REST services, micro-service architectures, cloud platforms to conquer a various array of exciting business challenges.
• Curious, customer-focused, and solution-driven: a true lover of data technology with the ability to align this with the client's business case.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a bias towards action.
• A track record of gaining trust and respect by consistently demonstrating sound critical thinking skills and maintaining composure in stressful situations.
• Fluent in English verbally and written. (Additional proficient knowledge of the Dutch language would be great!)
