As a Product Development Manager, you will lead our product development teams. We have a pragmatic approach with only one goal; to deliver our product with outstanding functionality, service design and quality. You’ll be an inspiration for your colleagues and have a positive contribution to an engaging workplace. Responsibilities and work areas:

As a Product Development manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the deliveries, product architecture, and scalability within the product area.

This means:
Coaching the development colleagues (15 in total), based in Belgium and Romania
Leading of our local developers in Belgium (5).
Creating the conditions where the teams can work and perform optimally. Create an environment that is stimulating, creative and where people get space to develop and grow.

You will work in an international environment close to developers, customer success and other colleagues both strategically and operationally. Reporting line will be to the Managing Director and this role is a vital part of the management team, your office base will be in Mechelen. 

 

Who are you?

You are a strong leader with a strategic mindset and that is able to interact with a number of key stakeholders.
You have experience in leading technical teams together with a solid technical background from the software industry.
You have a practical approach of using new technology. You know how to implement good enough solutions.
You have a systematic and well-organised way of working, you define clear priorities, plans, are proactive and have analytical skills, but also the ability to act immediately when required.

Qualifications:

Completed IT technical education in computer science or a related field
10+ years experience in leading product development teams, preferably from developing products to the enterprise market.

Experience and skills to craft and deliver on a technical & product strategy:
understand and know public cloud, integrations, API
know how to utilise modern architecture principles
able to lead architects/tech leads
You are great at improving work processes and agile working methods 
You enjoy improving and implementing modern engineering practices: frequent releases, automation of test, continuous delivery

ince ionProjects is an international Visma company, you have a good command of both the Dutch and English languages.

  • You test new versions together with your colleagues before release.
  • You set up functional documentation.
  • You organize upgrades and handle customer service requests.
  • You use our software to carry out the above tasks efficiently.
Your profile
  • You are customer friendly and communicative.
  • You can think analytically and work with a focus on results.
  • You have a problem solving attitude.
  • You speak and write perfect Dutch and good English.
  • You have feeling for software and business processes.
  • Experience in a support department is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP software is a plus.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden
  • Aan de hand van workshops analyseer je de bedrijfsprocessen van je klant en vertaalt deze naar onze standaard ERP-toepassing. Je zorgt voor een nauwkeurige fit-gap analyse en kijkt waar maatwerk nodig is
  • Je stelt offertes op en bespreekt deze met de stakeholders
  • Je vertaalt de functionele analyse van het maatwerk naar duidelijke Scrum-taken voor het ontwikkelingsteam, volgt de vooruitgang van de ontwikkeling op en communiceert deze met je klant. Je test de nieuwe functionaliteiten
  • Je begeleidt en adviseert je klant tijdens de implementatie, inclusief configuratie en het verzorgen van de nodige trainingen
  • Na oplevering blijf je openstaan voor nieuwe vragen van de klant, en stem je deze af met onze interne afdelingen
  • Je ondersteunt het support-team en/of sales-team waar mogelijk
  • Je organiseert ad-hoc consultancy sessies en opleidingen voor bestaande klanten
 
Jouw profiel
  • Je hebt functionele kennis van bestaande ERP-toepassingen
  • Je hebt een aantal jaar relevante ervaring als business consultant, functioneel analist en/of projectleider voor IT-projecten
  • Je werkt zowel graag zelfstandig als in teamverband
  • Je beschikt over een analytische geest en een probleemoplossende ingesteldheid
  • Je bent klantvriendelijk en communicatief
  • Je kan zelf een planning opstellen volgens prioriteit en vooropgestelde timing
  • Je kunt jezelf vlot uitdrukken in het Nederlands en het Engels
