Regulatory Affairs Manager - Regulatory Affairs Lead
Ausnutria B.V. is looking for a punctual and determined Regulatory Affairs Lead to contribute to our ambitious growth plans within the global nutrition arena.
In this challenging role you are responsible for the compliance, registration and timely notification of products that are marketed at Ausnutria B.V. in the EU, China and the rest of world. You develop Ausnutria’s regulatory affairs strategy and policies together with your team. Advising internal stakeholders and customers and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and authorities, in line with short and long-term business needs and R&D strategy, to ensure all business activities comply with regulatory requirements and Ausnutria’s strategic objectives can be realized.
Tasks and responsibilities
You will:- Develop Ausnutria’s regulatory affairs strategy, policy and guidelines, in line with principles and policies set within the R&D department and Ausnutria strategic objectives;
- Understand the regional regulatory environment, competitor intelligence and nutrition area;
- Advise internal stakeholders as well as relevant customers on legislation and regulatory requirements, proactively support the organization in implementing new policies and processes and advising the regulatory team on applicable regulatory requirements, project specific regulatory issues as assigned;
- Be responsible for product control, including checks of nutritional composition, ingredients, additives, labels and marketing codes/material;
- Actively monitor (national and international) developments in legislation and regulation and design scenarios of possible future developments and implications, in line with Ausnutria short and long-term (commercial) business needs;
- Be responsible for the collection and documentation of information for registration purposes on behalf of customers and internal stakeholders;
- Develop and communicate requirements for safety files and clinical trials, responsible for recipe/product certification and registration processes, and provide registration advice for the opening of new production facilities;
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with business partners and government officials;
- Represent Ausnutria at regulatory agencies, perform lobbying tasks and ensure communication towards relevant internal and external stakeholders;
- Manage the regulatory affairs team and ensure recruitment, retention, performance management, coaching and development of employees, in line with Ausnutria’s Human Resources Policy.
How do you make the difference?
You have:
- Good interpersonal & communication skills and fluency in Dutch and English;
- Master in Food Technology or Science, Human Nutrition, Health & Nutrition or equivalent discipline;
- Preferably >5 years of experience in a leading role in regulatory affairs environment in nutrition industry;
- Excellent knowledge of European/World Wide food laws and regulations (this is a requirement);
- Strong drive and high energy in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving business environment;
- Effective time management and prioritization skills;
- Proven track record of successfully building and managing a team of professionals.
