Your challenge as Treasury Accountant

As a Treasury Accountant you will support the Treasury and Insurance Department in managing the monthly, quarterly and yearly treasury accounting cycles. In this role you are part of a diverse and professional treasury team. Your role is focused on both supporting the regular treasury accounting cycles as well as providing the business with advice on (complex) matters.

Key responsibilities:

• Treasury Accounting

You are responsible for delivering high quality regular accounting support for month, quarter and year end Closing in line with IFRS and within set deadlines. Moreover you manage regular reporting on Treasury’s entities and activities. This includes monthly reporting and preparing Treasury specific notes in annual and quarterly reports, in close alignment with Nouryon’s central accounting department. Furthermore, analyzing and distributing key financial information to Nouryon management and shareholders is a key element of this position. Finally, you ensure compliance with relevant SOX controls and put IFRS Treasury standards into practical impact, including adjustment of processes and implementation into SAP.

• Continuous Improvement

You will identify improvements for the Treasury accounting process. You implement the improvements into the highly automated SAP Treasury IT environment. Furthermore you drive projects for standardization and automation of processes.

• Business Partner

You will act as a partner towards the businesses regarding Treasury accounting advice. You also will be a vocal point for external auditors and internal accounting on Treasury specific accounting challenges. You manage the engagement of in- and external stakeholders on the resolution of Treasury related IFRS queries. You are comfortable to be the business partner for potential new financial structures and derivatives to be used from an accounting perspective. Taking part in cross functional projects is part of the challenge of this role.

Have you got what it takes?

To be successful in this position you must be a Finance professional with at least 3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably including performing valuations of financials derivatives.

Furthermore, you have a lot of ambition and the willingness to add value to our organization. Next to this, you

• Have at least a Bachelor’ or Master’ degree in the field of Business and Economics with proven knowledge of Financial Accounting.
• Have 3-5 year working experience with a genuine interest in external debt, derivatives and treasury/cash management structures. You have a good understanding of accounting standards (IFRS) and preferably of treasury accounting. Furthermore you have experience in the practical application of relevant IFRS regulations.
• Have preferably experience with SAP TMS.
• Own important qualifications such as critical thinking, being precise and integrity.
• Are a careful communicator, fluent in English and preferably Dutch.
