Wat ga je doen?

In this role you will be contributing to a T-Mobile Network Assurance consolidation project.
Network Assurance is currently organized in 2 stacks, where each stack has its own Network Operation Center, Alarm Handling System, Ticketing System(s) and triggering of Service Outage Communications.

The objective is to consolidate the System Landscape for Network Assurance and create:

• One System for Network Incident & Network Change Management (ServiceNow)
• A consolidated Netcool architecture with alarm enrichment for target networks
• One Inventory Endpoint for ServiceNow and Netcool

The new Netcool solution will:
o gather alarms from existing T-Mobile Netcool systems
o expose a new alarm data model to OneUFM/OneITSM (combined Netcool/auto-ticketing solution) in such a way that the capabilities of that solution will be leveraged

o implement a new enrichment framework (integration with Inventory Hub)

Verantwoordelijkheden / Responsibilities:

The Netcool Architect/Designer will be responsible for gathering the Netcool system requirements and for creating the functional and technical design of the Netcool Object Server, and the Netcool Impact implementation and integrations that are required. In this context “Netcool” means: "IBM Tivoli Netcool/Omnibus".

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
o Gather Non-Functional Requirements for the End-to-End solution
o Create the Technical Design for Test- and Production Environment

• Locations
• Hardware/OS/System software Unified Netcool & Netcool Impact
• Network Connectivity Design Unified Netcool

o Create the Alarm Data Model Design
o Create the Integration Designs (with existing T-Mobile Netcool systems & OneUFM/OneITSM solution)
o Create the Alarm Enrichment Design
o Execute the Demand Management role towards the Development teams (T-Mobile & OneUFM/OneITSM)
o Create the Test- and Implementation Plan

Vereiste ervaring / Required experience

o​​​​​​ Demonstrable Netcool knowledge & skills and multi-year (5-10) experience with:

• Netcool Object Server & Netcool Impact implementation
• Alarm Data Models and Alarm Enrichment (from Inventory Systems)
• Telco environment (preferably experience with Transport Networks containing IP-, Ethernet- and DWDM transport layers)

o Have a good understanding of Alarm Handling-, Network Incident- and Network Change Management processes in a Telco environment
o Generic Architect/Design skills
o Knowledge of and experience with Netcool Object Server and Netcool Impact
o Function as an Architect/Design Lead in this area
o Be a sparring partner for the Program Manager & the Program Tech Lead (eg to determine what must be done in what order and co-create the program & delivery plan)

o Be able to provide guidance to the Development/Test teams

o The standard skills for an Architect/Designer which include:

• Excellent analytical skills
• Architect/design skills (be able to produce the design deliverables)
• Experience in data driven assurance with streaming telemetry is a pre
