The Customs & Compliance department as department is responsible for all customs & compliance related activities within Capri Holdings Ltd (CHL) at the Venlo Distribution Center (VDC). Based on the agreements, all brands (Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo and Versace) are being serviced with regards to customs licenses and customs execution as well as compliance support for EU import- and EU export requirements. The Officer Customs reports to the Senior Manager Customs & Compliance.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Daily execution of customs processes;
• Maintain bonded DC administration in DMS;
• Collect LTD’s/COO’s (Proof of origin);
• Prepare inbound files scheduled to arrive within the Bonded warehouse;
• Release inbound shipments;
• Process inventory adjustments in the DMS;
• Generate Outbound required documents;
• Take care of reporting of the Customs processes;
• Identify changes and act adequate;
• Monitors focused progress of customs related administrative tasks;
• Taking corrective actions where needed in cooperation with the team;
• Identifies potential improvements on administrative tasks within the Customs department and reports these to the Manager Customs Compliance EMEA;
• Coordinates the operational planning of the administrative tasks to be performed;
• Optimize administrative processes;
• Keeps record of the customs formalities.

Function Requirements

• MBO working- and thinking level;
• Knowledge of the English Language (verbal and written), any additional language is a plus;
• Knowledge of forwarding, transportation and Logistics processes;
• Base knowledge of Customs;
• Social skills for maintaining internal and external contacts.

Terms of employment
