Job description
As an R&D Engineer PDK you are part of our Research & Development team and you become responsible and owner of the Process Design Kit . From R&D perspective you can help us in the design and improvement of our photonic integrated building blocks. On top of this you manage the process from development, to validation and integration.
- Research and Development to design and improve our building blocks.
- Developing and maintaining of various automation tools related to PDK building and testing.
- Owner of the design manual and make sure all steps are taken before the process goes to the next phase.
- PDK validation and agreement
- Understanding of our customer needs and able to translate them to the newest building blocks.
- Collaboration with R&D team and cross sectorial teams involved in the PDK flow.
We are looking for a person who
has /is
- PhD in Photonics combined with 2 to 5 years of practical experience in the industry.
- Strong affinity with semi-conductor fabrication technologies and products
- Solid analytical and creative thinking skills.
- Experience developing software automation tools and applications
- Knowledge of Layout programmes such as Klayout, Synopsis or PhoeniX
- Good communicator and able to get things done.
- A natural independent drive to take responsibility and ownership
