An expeditor at an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) engineering company in the oil and gas industry is responsible for ensuring that materials and equipment are delivered to the project site on time and in accordance with project requirements. The expeditor plays a crucial role in monitoring and expediting the procurement and delivery process to prevent delays in project timelines.- Coordinating with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment according to project schedules.
- Monitoring the progress of orders and shipments to identify any potential delays or issues that may impact project timelines.
- Communicating with project managers, procurement managers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on the status of orders and deliveries.
- Resolving any logistical or transportation issues that may arise during the procurement and delivery process.
- Inspecting and verifying the quality and quantity of materials and equipment upon delivery to ensure they meet project specifications.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all procurement and delivery activities.
