Market Risk Management Internship

Your internship
In this position you work in the largest dealing room in continental Europe and look at the market risk of all trading and treasury books covering all asset classes. You monitor whether positions are within limits and mandate. Furthermore, you analyse the regulatory capital that ABN AMRO needs to hold against the trading positions. You understand the valuation models for derivatives, the risk models and the capital markets dynamics. In addition to your day to day tasks you will work on projects like stress test or ad-hoc analysis of large datasets using Python.As a market risk management intern, your responsibilities will be:
- Monitor the global trading books of ABN AMRO
- Analyse the risk with respect to market movements in all asset classes
- Understand the valuation of the different derivatives positions in the portfolios
- Monitor whether positions are within limits and approved mandate
- Calculate the regulatory capital ABN AMRO needs to hold under Basel 2.5 and FRTB
- Automate processes in Python
- Liaise with different stakeholders, e.g. Trading, Product Control, Reporting, Trading Risk Modelling, Quantitative Analysis
- Perform ad hoc analyses

Your profile

- Your studies are related to Economics, Finance, Econometrics or Mathematics.
- You are able to start in December 2022 or June 2023.
- You are registered at the college/university for the whole duration of the internship.
- You are available for a minimum of 6 months.
- Preferable experience in Python.
