Internship Cleaning in place for pervaporation

About this position

This project will tackle the challenges coming from waste streams, water footprints and industrial emissions reduction, as well as increased energy efficiency through membrane separation and achieve the sustainability targets the chemical industry and society is looking for! Fouling and degradation of membranes reduces the productivity of membranes and increases the maintenance costs. The project focuses on the development of cleaning-in-place technology to detect and prevent fouling tendencies in pervaporation.

What will be your role?

Extensive literature review on cleaning in place for pervaporation technologies;
Develop a predictive tool for cleaning in place (TNO);
Develop a degradation/fouling model for the membrane.

What we expect from you

Background in chemical engineering, chemistry or other relevant field;
Knowledge of aspen simulation tools for flow sheeting;
Some coding background (Aspen custom modeler, matlab, python or else);
Positive attitude.
