What does your job as a Researcher Molecular Plant Biology look like?

As a Researcher Molecular Plant Biology within our R&D group Trait Biology, you are responsible for the development of new, advanced molecular techniques for the introduction of desired traits into crops. To achieve this you will use state-of-the-art technologies, biological knowledge and genetic variation.In the multidisciplinary projects you lead, you will have frequent contact with analysts, other researchers and breeding departments. On a daily basis, you will be involved in

  • Literature review
  • Design of new experiments
  • Execution of these experiments
  • Working with analysts and/or supervising interns

What you bring:

You are a proactive researcher with good communication and analytical skills. You are able to translate research results to practice. You know how to use creative solutions to achieve results in your research projects. And you are motivated to work on multiple lines of research simultaneously across multidisciplinary teams.In addition, we can find the following on your resume:

  • A PhD in molecular biology or related fields
  • Experience with molecular biology
  • Experience with or affinity with plant biology
  • You are aware of the latest technological developments
